Hi, I’m The Captain — a major airline pilot and founder of Luxe Pinnacle Watches.
For most of my flying career, I only wore watches for one reason: function. They needed to be tough, reliable, and easy to read in the cockpit. That’s why Breitling and IWC have always been my go-to inspirations — serious tool watches built for real use.
Outside the cockpit, I’m happiest with a fishing rod in hand, exploring new places while traveling, or tinkering on cars. I also enjoy the simple pleasure of a good whiskey shared with interesting company and great conversation. Since 2014, I’ve bought and sold over 80 houses as investment properties — a journey that taught me a lot about spotting real value and making smart decisions.
It’s only been in the last few years that I’ve truly started appreciating fine watches — the history, the craftsmanship, and the way certain pieces become part of your personal story. That journey is still ongoing, and I’m excited about it.
I started Luxe Pinnacle Watches to offer the kind of straightforward, no-pressure experience I wish I had when I was getting more serious about watches. Today we focus on strong, well-made timepieces that offer real value. In the near future, we will also be expanding into higher-end collectors’ pieces — Rolex, Audemars Piguet, Patek Philippe, and others.
My wife, The Japanese Wife, works alongside me in our small husband-and-wife business based in Allen, Texas. She handles photography, packing, operations, and occasional sourcing from Japan. When she’s restoring a piece of furniture, she gets so deeply focused that she skips meals and forgets to drink water — that’s just the kind of dedicated person she is. Together, we bring our combined passions and attention to detail to every watch we sell.
