There are watches associated with aviation, and then there is the Navitimer. Few timepieces are as immediately connected to the cockpit, and after spending time with this one, it is easy to understand why the design has endured for generations.
What surprised us most about this 46mm Navitimer was something we weren’t expecting at all.
It simply doesn’t wear like a 46mm watch.
We expected the size to be overwhelming. Instead, it feels remarkably light, balanced, and comfortable on the wrist. It has plenty of presence, but never feels cumbersome.
The deep blue dial is equally impressive. It is unmistakably blue without being bright or attention-seeking, and the contrasting white chronograph registers give the famously detailed Navitimer dial remarkable depth. Paired with the blue strap and contrasting stitching, the overall combination feels fresh while remaining unmistakably Navitimer.
And then there is the back.
The exhibition caseback reveals Breitling’s Manufacture Caliber B01, and it makes this one of those watches worth removing from your wrist simply to turn it over. There is as much mechanical beauty to appreciate from the back as there is detail to explore from the front.
There may be more modern interpretations of the pilot’s watch, but few carry the identity, history, and visual presence of the Navitimer.
This isn’t merely an aviation-inspired watch. It is a pilot’s watch.

Excellent condition. This Navitimer has been well cared for, presents beautifully, and reflects pride of ownership. It honestly appears to have seen little, if any, wrist time. The case, bezel, crystal, dial, strap, and hardware present exceptionally well, with no visible marks of note. The watch has been carefully inspected for both condition and operation.
